Green Zero Hotel unit for HELEXPO

A bungalow model was designed on HELEXPO ‘s request and was constructed at the premises of the International Exhibition and Conference Center of Thessaloniki for exhibition in the framework of HOTELIA in the period 10-12 November 2017.

The aim of the architectural design undertaken by MAKRIDIS ASSOCIATES, in collaboration with TIF-HELEXPO and Interiors from Greece, was to design a new prefabricated, modular hotel unit with near zero energy demands.

MEP design included rainwater harvesting, use of water / ground source heat pumps for space heating and cooling, an active solar thermal system for DHW production and a PV system for power production.
