Thessaloniki New Waterfront Area

Reconstruction works in a public area of approximately 240 acres, along the coast of Thessaloniki. The study was commissioned after a design tender launched by the Municipality of Thessaloniki. It was carried out until the Construction Design phase and the Preparation of Tender documents.

The design was awarded with the 1st prize of the Greek Institute of Architecture. It has also been awarded in international architectural competitions and exhibitions. The construction works were carried out in two phases in period 2006-2014. During the construction, the designers carried out supervision consultancy tasks.

MEP design was focused on water management (water storage, freshwater distribution, irrigation and fountain installations), sewage and rainwater drainage, outdoor lighting and a BMS system.
