IKOS KISSAMOS, the new five-star gem of the IKOS RESORTS chain in Western Crete, officially commenced operations on May 1st, 2026. The impressive complex spans 214,000 m² and features 414 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, state-of-the-art SPA facilities, fitness centers, and swimming pools.

SKEMMA Engineers was responsible for the MEP Design, while also providing full design support and supervision services throughout the entire construction period.

A core pillar of our design approach was sustainability and environmental responsibility. Building on our experience from previous SANI–IKOS projects, we prioritized the following key parameters:

• • Optimal Comfort Conditions: Ensuring high-level thermal, acoustic, and visual comfort for guests.
  • Indoor Environmental Quality: High indoor air quality across all enclosed spaces.
  • Decarbonization: Full elimination of fossil fuel use.
  • Energy Management: Low energy consumption and implementation of smart energy management systems.
  • Renewable Energy Sources: Installation of photovoltaic systems for on-site energy generation.
  • Water Management: Advanced water treatment and reuse strategies.
